Let's Burger - Beijing
A place called "Let's Burger" opened in San Li Tun just north of the new San Li Tun Village. The name lands us in the same awesomely ambiguous rhetorical cul de sac as "Saint's Alp Teahouse," the Hong Kong bubble tea chain. Who is Saint anyway and why does he have an Alp Teahouse? Why not Saint Alp's Teahouse? Let's Burger raises similar questions. Who is Let and how did he get into the burger business? Or is "Burger" a verb here? LET US BURGER!
To be clear - this sort of effect is not easy to achieve. Just off enough to make you feel strangely warm and comfortable. In this genre of language, Kasugai Japanese Gummies are king:
“Its translucent color so alluring and taste and aroma so gentle and mellow offer admiring feelings of a graceful lady. Enjoy soft and juicy Kasugai Muscat Gummy.” [from the wrapper of Kasugai Japanese Muscat Gummies]
So for it's contributions to language and style, we recommend Let's Burger (even though we have not eaten there yet):
